Usually, I'm not the greatest fan of 'fantasy' art (fairies, elves etc). But, the talent that is obvious on the piece won me over. The lines are crisp and in proportion (which is not an easy feat). The 'linear' technique used for the shading (in the sky and on the tree) are wonderful and I like the imagination in that. The drawing shows great thought and the detail is intense (there is probably more detail in the actual thing than what I can see). The facial expression of the fairy and her body language is a nice juxtapostion with the serene bachground. I don't have many crits for this - only a few minor things. The one I noticed the most was the lack of contrast in the piece (I don't know if that was on purpose or not). I like pictures to have strong contrasts between the dark and light shades. This piece doesn't have overly dark shades. I don't know why, but the colour of the piece of paper also annoys me a bit. It's very off-white, and I personally think it should be white. Perhaps you disagree, and intentionaly chose the off-white. You have a real talent, keep it up!
This is a truly beautiful picture, the only thing that bugged me a little was her ankle/foot shape. It extended a little far but maybe you meant it that way. Either way it is still amazing and I think that not having a large contrast in the shading worked for this picture! <3
