Art is different. There a lot of styles which are already discovered, and there are those which needs to be discovered. What we can see here is something that has character. Looking at this picture, I can say that the author know what he/she is doing. I see shadowing which is quite acurate, but not advanced. This work is not about shadowing, I know, but still the guy's arm and clothing see very good, but girls hair is just monotone on top. Overall, the composition is good and the balance between dark parts and light parts is good. Goog luck in your work! :)
