It's easy to recognize which is traditional or digital arts, but when she reuploaded it,this person said that it was her own artwork, made from watercolor

EDIT : commissed ~buta0309 to draw 10 manga pages for her. (which means she requested ~buta0309 and paid for her request) Then , she posted those pages to TGTT's contest as her entry.
Is it legal ? The answer is NO , It's typically viewed as cheating on an exam. You pay someone to take your exam for you!

This is the sample images of ~pt0317's Kuroshitsuji illustration book she published in May 2009. It was reported that the numbered pieces were printed as posters and other merchandises. We already have evidence that #3 were printed, and on #2 Sebastian was made into a button. If you do have pictures of these works as merchandises, please take a photo of it and note us!

Other than that, we have found many Korean artists whose artworks were stolen.

Update: we found another artist whose work was stolen. We already contacted her before I wrote this journal, and she has never heard of the company, therefore has never given them any permission to use her work, and never received the profit.

Her name is Ciel (her website [link] ) and she is a Korean artist just like Shabom. It seems like a lot of her works were sold.

Under the D.Gray-man section, the 3rd picture(Allen) and 7th picture(Lavi) was used.They cut the parts where the copyright notices were and stuck the two picture together and sold them.

They even EDITED the pictures(adding 'Lavi' and 'Allen').. they've done this to Shabom's picture as well.

Also, please note that the admin of GeoManga Art facebook group has nothing to do with this incident; she was only working there. I apologize for putting fb page;_;

(Shabom) has recently been notified that her art is being sold at Canadian anime conventions. (please visit her DA journal as well: [link])

She is a South Korean artist and lives in Seoul, and she is not so fluent in English. Because of that, she has not been active overseas. She was unaware of what was going on, what some people were doing with her artwork half way around the world.

A company named 'GeoManga Art' used one of her artworks, a fan art of 'Ciel Phantomhive' from Kuroshitsuji, and sold it as a poster for $20.

This is the original artwork she used for her illustration book that was published in 2009:


Here is the full art of the picture provided by ~final-frosting who reported. This was sold at ANIMETHON 17(in Canada) in August:

She has never given out permission to use any of her artworks for commercial purposes to anyone(except for two Sailormoon artworks she donated for an event). The bottom part of the original picture was cut off, where her signature '샤봄(Shabom)' was signed(on Ciel's left hand) and instead 'ⓒ Geomanga Art' replaced the signature.
*note: before she was notified of this, she did not put the address of her blog but still had her signature. It was only after she was notified that she put the link.


However, it seems like she is not the only victim to this theft.

GeoManga Art is known for selling anime merchandises that is not of the official anime -- meaning they sell far arts. From key-chains to posters, they sell fan arts of various anime series in various forms. What's strange is that these merchandises vary very much in drawing style. In fact, the artworks are mainly drawn by international artists(who might not be so famous in North America but are in their own country). One of the artist whose work was reported to be sold was a famous Korean artist Kine(www.kineinaqua.com).(But it is unlikely that she would give them permission to use her artworks since she has her own international orders shop.)
Even if they do contact artists, well, I suppose not all of them gets contacted. ~pt0317 wasn't contacted, nor did she received her part of the profit.

Geomanga Art had a store in Toronto, Canada, but appears to have closed their shop for an unknown reason. However, they still seem to be selling the merchandises in many anime conventions across Canada.
